Accountant (m/w/d)

Mainova WebHouse GmbH, based in Frankfurt am Main, is a subsidiary of Mainova AG and was founded in 2021. In June 2024, a BlackRock fund acquired a 50.1 percent stake with the aim of jointly promoting the expansion of sustainable digital infrastructure. The company specializes in the planning, construction, and infrastructure operation of data centers, pursuing a sustainable approach.

Your role:

You will support the accounting department for our group of companies, which currently consists of six companies.

Specifically, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Day-to-day accounting: recording, checking, and posting business transactions such as invoices, payments, and other entries
  • Account reconciliation: performing and monitoring bank and account reconciliations and clarifying open items
  • Accounts receivable and accounts payable management: Maintaining and reconciling customer and supplier accounts, including dunning and payment transactions
  • Asset accounting: Supporting the recording, valuation, and maintenance of fixed assets
  • Preparation of financial statements: Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB or IFRS
  • Taxation: Assisting with the preparation of tax returns and the preparation of advance VAT returns
  • Financial reporting: Assisting with the preparation of financial reports, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements
  • Travel expense management: Checking, recording, and posting travel expense reports
  • Process optimization: Assisting with the further development and automation of internal accounting processes

Your qualifications:

  • Completed commercial training, ideally with further training in accounting (e.g., financial accountant: IHK) or a degree in business administration/accounting
  • Initial professional experience in accounting
  • Knowledge and experience in HGB, IFRS desirable
  • Confident use of MS Office, especially Excel
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle NetSuite, etc.)
  • Structured, careful, and reliable way of working
  • Ability to work in a team and willingness to learn
  • Good written and spoken German and English skills
